94/365 - Smoke 'em
My iPhone photo today. Yeah, they’re pipe smoking. Quick someone complain, so they’ll get removed. Maybe they’re just blowing bubbles. There, feel better now?

Tomorrow
This is the fourth and final post on quotations (found embedded on a table, while having lunch in India). This, by far, is my favorite of the four. See the previous posts: The Truth Within, Keep Moving, and Beauty.
TOMORROW
The morning is clear,
and you have twenty-four hours
to create and produce the perfect day.
This day, you will remember
the rest of your life.
Today you hit the target.
You walked out of the door
and things just seemed to come
your way, as if there were a more
powerful force guiding you.
The day ends and as you close your eyes,
you mumble to yourself the words:
"Tomorrow will be even better."

Beauty
This is the third post on quotations (found embedded on a table, while having lunch in India). The previous posts: The Truth Within, Keep Moving.

BEAUTY
Let beauty be your constant ideal.
The beauty of the soul
The beauty of sentiments
The beauty of thoughts
The beauty of the action
The beauty in the work
So that nothing comes out of your hands
which is not an expression of
pure and harmonious beauty.
And the divine help shall
always be with you.

Keep Moving
This is the second post on quotations (found embedded on a table, while having lunch in India). The first post is The Truth Within.

KEEP MOVING
What is the best thing for a stream?
What is the best thing for a stream?
It is to keep moving.
If it stops, it stagnates.
So the best thing for a man is that
which keeps the currents going
— the physical, the moral,
and the intellectual currents.
Hence the secret of happiness is
— something to do;
some congenial work.
Take away the occupation of all men,
and what a wretched world
it would be!
—John Burroughs

The Truth within
One of the stops during the recent trip to India was lunch at an original vintage single family home, historically preserved and used as a restaurant, visitor center, and shop. At each table is a quotation written on a piece of paper placed under glass as shown here. This is one of four pictures I took of the ones I thought were profound and meaningful. Below the picture, I've rewritten the quote for easy reading.

THE TRUTH WITHIN
First hear, then understand, and then,
leaving all distractions, shut your mind to
the outside influences and devote yourself
to developing the Truth within you.
leaving all distractions, shut your mind to
the outside influences and devote yourself
to developing the Truth within you.
There is the danger of frittering your
energies by taking up an idea only for its
novelty, and then giving it up for another
that is newer.

novelty, and then giving it up for another
that is newer.
Take one thing up and do it, and see the
end of it, and before you have seen the end,
do not give it up. He who can become mad
with an idea, he alone, sees the Light.

do not give it up. He who can become mad
with an idea, he alone, sees the Light.
